2. This website

irisplugin.com is hosted by Cloudflare. To serve and protect it, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (IP address, browser type, requested pages) in its technical logs.

The website uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no forms. Fonts, images and videos are served from the website itself, without calling third-party services.

3. Purchases

When you click a purchase button, you are taken to the checkout page of Lemon Squeezy, our reseller (Merchant of Record). As an independent controller, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes the data needed for the sale: name, email address, billing country and address, payment details, IP address (tax calculation and fraud prevention). This processing is governed by Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy.

The Publisher receives from Lemon Squeezy the information needed for your order: name, email address, country, order number, product purchased and license status. It never has access to your bank details.

4. License

To activate, check or deactivate your license, the Iris panel sends the Iris license service (hosted on Cloudflare) your license key, a random installation identifier and, when needed, the activation reference. This service queries Lemon Squeezy’s license API.

The service stores a hashed reference of the license (not the key in clear text), the installation and activation identifiers, their status and request counters. Your IP address is used to limit abuse (rate limiting). No hardware fingerprint of your computer is collected.

5. Stock libraries

When you search Pexels or Pixabay from Iris, your search terms, media type and result page are sent to the Iris service, which queries the library concerned and caches the responses for 24 hours.

Previews and files are then loaded directly from those libraries’ servers, which therefore receive your IP address and the usual technical information of a connection.

6. What Iris doesn’t collect

Iris does not upload your local folders, their names, your media index, your files, your Premiere project or your timeline. Iris contains no telemetry: diagnostic logs stay on your computer and are only sent if you choose to attach them to a support request.

7. Support

When you write to support@irisplugin.com or contact@irisplugin.com, your message is routed by Cloudflare (email routing) to the Publisher’s inbox, hosted by Google (Gmail). We use your email address and message only to reply to you.

8. Legal bases

Performance of the contract (sale, delivery, license, updates, support); legitimate interest (service security, abuse and fraud prevention); legal obligations (retention of billing data, handled by Lemon Squeezy).

9. Retention periods

• License and activation data: for the lifetime of your license; deleted within 30 days after a refund or upon an erasure request, unless the law requires otherwise.
• Cached stock-library responses: 24 hours.
• Hosting technical logs: according to Cloudflare’s retention periods, usually a few days.
• Support emails: up to 3 years after our last exchange.
• Order data: for the duration of your license and as long as needed to meet legal obligations.

10. Providers and transfers

Our providers are Cloudflare (website hosting, license service, email routing), Lemon Squeezy (sales, payment, license keys), Google (email) and, when you use them, Pexels and Pixabay. Some are located in the United States. Transfers outside your country rely on these providers’ appropriate safeguards (European Commission standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable).

Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

11. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, under the conditions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Algerian Law No. 18-07 on personal data protection. To exercise them, write to contact@irisplugin.com; we reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (for example the CNIL in France, or the ANPDP in Algeria).

12. Children

Iris and this website are not intended for children under 16.

13. Changes

This policy may change, for example if a new feature processes new data. The last-updated date is shown at the top of the page; customers are notified by email of any significant change.
